Stolen Vehicle Driven by 3 Teenagers Struck a 71-Year-Old Pedestrian
PHOENIX, AZ (September 19, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, a pedestrian crash near 37th Avenue left one man with injuries.
The incident happened on September 7th around 6:00 a.m. just south of Bell Road, according to the Phoenix police.
Furthermore, the investigation showed a 71-year-old was walking along the area when he was struck by the stolen Kia Optima driven by three juveniles from Greenway High School.
Consequently, the paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to the hospital with critical injuries.
Moreover, the authorities arrested the three teenagers, and the driver was booked into Maricopa County Juvenile Courts Center.
Meanwhile, the two other juveniles were released to their parents, and charges against them are still pending.
