Plane Accident at Huntsville Municipal Airport Left Father and Son Dead
HUNTSVILLE, TX (September 19, 2023) – Saturday, Ethan Bishop and Elijah Bishop died in a plane collision at Huntsville Municipal Airport.
Police responded to the scene just before 11:45 a.m., at the Huntsville Municipal Airport on September 26th.
According to authorities, a Cessna 150K took off from the airport and crashed for unexplained reasons.
Shortly after, emergency crews arrived and attempted rescue efforts. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced one victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile another victim succumbed to their injuries on their way to the hospital.
Officers later identified the deceased victims as 20-year-old Ethan Bishop and his father, 43-year-old Elijah Bishop.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the plane crash remain unclear. Authorities shut down the runway to clean up the scene and perform preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
