Hit-and-Run Accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Left Man Dead

TYLER, TX (September 18, 2023) – Saturday night, William Eric Haisler was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Gentry Boulevard.

Police responded to the scene near East Gentry Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 11:15 p.m., on September 2nd.

According to reports, when police arrived on the scene, they discovered one man lying on the road.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the collision shortly after. Medics then transported the pedestrian, identified as 37-year-old Haisler, to a local hospital for treatment.

There, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Upon impact, the rider fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

At this time, no further information is available about the suspect. Authorities temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since been reopened.
