28-Year-Old Fullerton Man Killed in SUV/Car Collision near Orangethorpe Avenue
FULLERTON, CA (September 18, 2023) – Friday evening, a Fullerton man was killed in a head-on collision on Richman Avenue.
The deadly crash happened around 9:00 p.m. near Richman Ave. and Orangethorpe Avenue.
Based on the report, a white Honda Civic driver swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle and collided with a gray Nissan Pathfinder.
Responding officials discovered both vehicles in the wreckage with heavy front-end damages. Further investigation revealed that the Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed before swerving into the opposing lane.
Tragically, the 28-year-old Honda driver succumbed to his injuries moments after arriving at the hospital. Authorities will release his identity once the next of kin has been notified.
Meanwhile, the 44-year-old Nissan driver and his 8-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties but have since been reopened.
