27-Year-Old Skateboarder Struck and Left Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident

TACOMA, WA (September 18, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, police responded to a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Brandon White.

On September 2nd, just before 3:00 a.m., in the area of Waller Road near 157th Street.

Investigation showed that 27-year-old Brandon White was skateboarding along the area when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.

Moreover, responding paramedics immediately transported White to the hospital in critical condition. White was not expected to survive, and police pronounced him dead afterward.

Furthermore, the vehicle drove off from the scene and left several vehicle parts.

Later that morning, a police report was filed by an 80-year-old saying that she might have struck something while driving along the area, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said.

At this time, there were no arrests or charges filed against the woman. An active investigation is still ongoing.
