At Least One Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Collision near Contra Costa County
LIVERMORE, CA (September 15, 2023) – Late Wednesday morning, injuries were reported after a big-rig collision on Vasco Road.
Police responded to the scene around 10:55 a.m., between the border between Contra Costa and Alameda counties.
At this time, the events leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a big-rig and a van collided in the area, pinning the van driver inside the impaled vehicle.
Responding emergency personnel transported one victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Around 11:21, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert blocking all lanes in the area until 1:30 p.m.
