Hit-and-Run Collision on South SH 360 Left Man Dead

ARLINGTON, TX (September 15, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, Eliaz Guzman Aranada was arrested in a crash on South SH 360.

The incident occurred on August 27th, at around 5:15 a.m., at the 3600 block of South SH 360.

According to reports, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado impacted a 2012 Toyota Yaris that was stuck in the outside lane facing south when it was a Toyota, sending the driver flying out of the vehicle.

Emergency crews at the site of the crash pronounced the driver and the passenger of the Toyota dead at the scene.

An off-duty police officer followed the truck as it proceeded to travel before Mansfield police were able to eventually stop the vehicle and speak with the driver.

Meanwhile, police detained Aranada on suspicion of drunken manslaughter and failing to stop and render help.

Furthermore, police temporarily shut down the area surrounding South SH 360 to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Further investigation is still ongoing.
