27-Year-Old Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision near 75th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (September 15, 2023) – Thursday morning, Edna Villa was killed in a 2-car accident on Lower Buckeye Road.
The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m., near 75th Avenue.
Following preliminary duties, officers believe the driver of a vehicle made a turn in front of another car, causing a collision.
Medics arrived and transported a passenger inside one of the vehicles, 27-year-old Villa to a nearby hospital where she later died.
In addition, paramedics transported another man and woman to a hospital for further treatment of serious injuries.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup operations. Once available, further details will be provided. Officers do not believe that impairment played a factor.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
