Scooter/Bus Collision Near Chandler Boulevard Left Juvenile Seriously Hurt
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 14, 2023) – Monday night, a scooter accident involving a metro bus on Bellaire Avenue left a young boy hospitalized.
The collision occurred around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Bellaire Avenue and Chandler Boulevard in the Valley Village neighborhood.
Police responded to reports of a collision between a boy and a metro bus in the area. Although, it was unclear if the bus hit the boy on a scooter or the other way around.
Eventually, paramedics arrived and transported the young boy to a nearby hospital where he stayed in critical but stable condition. The identities of the parties involved in the incident remain undisclosed to the public.
Later, the bus was determined to be the property of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The Metro spokesperson confirmed the incident but did not provide additional details.
At this time, authorities are continuing to review the surveillance footage recorded inside the bus. Los Angeles Officials will provide more information about the scooter accident once available.
