Multiple Injured after Single-Vehicle Collision at Denny’s Restaurant near 1st Street
ROSENBERG, TX (September 13, 2023) – Monday morning, Roy and Margaret Rodriguez, as well as many others were hurt in a crash on Southwest Freeway.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a Jeep slammed into a Denny’s Restaurant on 27960 Southwest Freeway, just before 11:30 a.m., on September 4th.
Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle completely inside the restaurant. In addition, 23 individuals sustained injuries, including a 12-year-old child and an elderly person.
Moreover, 79-year-old Roy Rodriguez and 77-year-old Margaret Rodriguez were identified as two of the injured. Roy suffered minor wounds and was able to return home after receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, Margaret suffered a broken leg from a fallen beam.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect, but they say he is a man in his 30’s. No charges were cited at this time. No additional information was added by the police, and the crash is still under investigation.
