26-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident near East Grant Road
TUCSON, AZ (September 13, 2023) – Saturday morning, David Edward Lopez-Villalvazo was killed in a red-light crash on North Stone Avenue.
The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m., near East Grand Road on September 2nd.
Per reports, the driver of a 2010 Mazda 3 ran a red light at the intersection and struck a tractor-trailer that was pulling a utility trailer in the middle lane.
Upon arrival, medics pronounced the driver of the Mazda, 26-year-old Lopez-Villalvazo dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took his female passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the 18-wheeler did not sustain any injuries, and cooperated with the investigation.
