Jose Cisneros Dead, Lucila Garcia Arrested after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on 51st Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
25-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Thomas Road
PHOENIX, AZ (September 12, 2023) – Sunday morning, Jose Arturo Armenta Cisneros was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on 51st Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene just before 2:30 p.m., near Thomas Road on September 3rd.
Per reports, 47-year-old Lucila Lozano Garcia struck Cisneros as he was crossing the street and immediately fled the scene.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 25-year-old Cisneros dead at the scene.
Following preliminary duties, officers located the female driver who displayed signs of impairment. As a result, police arrested Garcia and booked her into jail with DUI and hit-and-run charges. An active investigation is still ongoing.
