Jorrick Battle, Connor Steyer Killed in Head-On Collision on Dallas North Tollway [Dallas, TX]
Two Drivers Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Accident near Wycliff Avenue
DALLAS, TX (September 8, 2023) – Saturday, Jorrick Battle and Connor Steyer were killed in a head-on collision on Dallas North Tollway.
Authorities responded to the scene just before 4:35 a.m., near Wycliff Avenue on August 26th.
Per reports, Steyer was driving a 2019 Mazda CX5 north on the southbound lanes of the freeway. There, the Mazda struck an oncoming 2017 Ford F-150 head-on.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 27-year-old Steyer and the driver of the Ford, 55-year-old Battle, dead at the scene.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Investigators say Steyer was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
