One Critically Injured after Three-Vehicle Collision on Hualapai Way [Las Vegas, NV]
Three-Vehicle DUI Crash on Diablo Drive Left One Person Hospitalized
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 7, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a collision on Hualapai Way left one person injured, police said.
The incident happened on August 22nd just after 6:50 a.m. involving a Tesla, Honda Pilot, and a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Chevy and the Honda were both headed northbound on Hualapai Way.
In addition, the Chevy was driven by an 18-year-old man, and the Honda was driven by a 43-year-old.
Furthermore, the officers have determined that the 29-year-old driver of the Tesla headed southbound in the northbound lanes. Police added that he was driving at high speeds.
As a result, the Tesla rear-ended the Chevy and the Honda. The wreck continued down the roadway and eventually crashed into several trees and came to a stop after hitting a light pole.
Moreover, the paramedics arrived and transported the Tesla driver to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Also, he showed signs of impairment during that time. Passengers of the Honda and the Chevy suffered minor wounds but declined medical treatment. The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is handling further investigation.
