27-Year-Old Man, 4-Year-Old Kid Killed in Auto Collision near Bethel Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (September 7, 2023) – Friday, Adrian Gonzalez and Enrique Flores Jr. were killed in a car accident on Jefferson Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene just before 8:00 a.m., near Bethel Avenue on September 1st.

Per reports, Gonzalez was heading east in a Honda on Jefferson and drove through a stop sign at the intersection. There, the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban was unable to stop in time and struck the passenger side of the Honda.

Paramedics arrived and transported multiple occupants from inside the Chevy to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 27-year-old Gonzalez and 4-year-old Flores Jr., dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, officers determined that Flores Jr., was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. In addition, authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as a potential factor in the incident. Further investigation is still ongoing.
