Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Dewey Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 1, 2023) – Sunday evening, one woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Fruitridge Road.

The incident occurred around 9:08 p.m., at the 5000 block of Fruitridge Road near Dewey Boulevard.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a woman in the area. However, further circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear.

Upon arrival, police located the female pedestrian lying in the roadway. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
