Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Utah Street

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (August 25, 2023) – Sunday night, a man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Central Avenue.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Utah Street and Central Avenue. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, the driver of a westbound vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the area. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rending aid or contacting authorities.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

The Albuquerque Police Department blocked the westbound lanes for cleanup and further investigation. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian collision on Central Avenue.
