Car Crash near Cochran Avenue Left Two LAPD Officers Hurt
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 24, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle collision involving a patrol vehicle on Venice Boulevard left three people injured.
Reports of the incident arrived shortly after 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Cochran Avenue in Mid-City.
According to the police, a civilian vehicle t-boned a patrol SUV occupied by two officers from LAPD Wilshire Division. An LAPD spokesperson also added that the officers were on patrol and were not en route to an emergency call at the time of the crash.
Furthermore, news footage from the scene revealed a police SUV with significant damages leaning on a light pole on the road’s center median.
Meanwhile, police discovered the BMW sedan on a sidewalk, with its rear bumper hanging off.
The first responders said the two officers involved and the civilian driver from the sedan sustained injuries. One of the patients was transported to a hospital for further medical evaluation.
