25-Year-Old Driver and 21-Year-Old Passenger Hospitalized after Vehicle Collision near Washington Freeway

LYNNWOOD, WA (August 24, 2023) – Late Sunday night, two people sustained injuries in an accident on State Route 525.

The incident happened on August 13th at around 11:30 p.m. when a 25-year-old driver pulled over due to a vehicle failure.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the vehicle was a Lexus LS and it blocked two northbound lanes.

Furthermore, the driver went out of the Lexus and stood outside, when a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder driven by a 58-year-old with a 21-year-old passenger, struck both the man and his vehicle.

Consequently, first responders arrived at the scene and transported the Lexus driver and the passenger to Harborview Medical Center with various injuries.

Moreover, the authorities also added that the Lexus and the Nissan were both wrecked. An active investigation is still underway.

Simply by driving defensively and following the conditions of the road, you can prevent a reckless driving accident. Do not engage in any non-driving activity which creates a potential distraction. Follow the speed limit and do not be pressured to keep up with the speed of other vehicles on the road. Also, never drive when you are sleepy or under the influence of any altering substance as this increases the risk of a fatal accident.
