Man Fatally Struck in Bicycle-Auto Collision on Avenue L [Quartz Hill, CA]
Bicycle Accident near 42nd Street West Left Man Dead
QUARTZ HILL, CA (August 17, 2023) – A bicycle-auto collision on Avenue L last Monday evening left a man with fatal injuries.
The collision happened around 10:50 p.m. near 42nd Street West in the Los Angeles County Quartz Hill area.
Based on the initial investigation, an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Camaro on Avenue L struck an unidentified man on a bicycle.
Eventually, medical responders arrived and transported the bicyclist to a hospital where he later died. At this time, his identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from his next of kin.
The Camaro driver, who was uninjured from the crash, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties but have since been reopened.
