Deadly Motorcycle-SUV Collision Near Cavitt Stallman Road Kills 60-Year-Old Auburn Man
ROSEVILLE, CA (August 15, 2023) – Late Thursday morning, Michael Mcculloch was injured in a traffic crash involving a motorcycle on Sierra College Boulevard.
The deadly collision occurred around 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of Sierra College Blvd and Cavitt Stallman Road.
According to the police, a red 2017 GMC SUV traveling south on Sierra College made a left turn to head east on Cavitt Stallman. Subsequently, a red 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle going northbound approached the intersection at a legal speed limit.
For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided and ejected the rider from the motorcycle. The rider, identified as a 64-year-old Auburn man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 80-year-old GMC driver Michael Mcculloch and her 80-year-old female passenger from Roseville sustained minor injuries. Paramedics transported both of them to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.
Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties but have since been reopened.
The California Highway Patrol does not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the fatal two-vehicle crash at this time.
