39-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on Valley Central Way

LANCASTER, CA (August 11, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, Justin Rhodes was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Lancaster Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 4:02 p.m., near Valley Central Way.

Per reports, a woman stopped her car to allow pedestrians who appeared to be homeless to cross the street. A man then got up from the bus bench and began to hit her car and grab the door handle in attempt to get in.

As the woman drove off and escaped, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities later identified him as 39-year-old Rhodes.
