82-Year-Old Woman Dies after Pickup Truck Hit on Las Vegas Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 7, 2023) – Tuesday evening, an old woman died after a pedestrian crash on Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

On August 1st, at around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a pedestrian vs. pickup truck crash that claimed the life of one person.

Upon investigation, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that the 82-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man crossed the street at a red light on South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Furthermore, a Ford pickup truck driven by a 63-year-old man was stopped at a red light and started to move.

As a result, the pickup truck struck both pedestrians causing them to be downed on the ground.

Consequently, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported both pedestrians to Sunrise Trauma in critical condition.

Unfortunately, the 82-year-old female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver remained and cooperated with the investigators.

No additional information was provided and the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section took over for further investigation.
