Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Avenue 328 [Visalia, CA]
Man Killed in Road 112 Motorcycle-Auto Collision
VISALIA, CA (August 4, 2023) – Wednesday night, a man was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash on Avenue 328 in Tulare County.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the fatal incident around 10:13 p.m. at Avenue 328 and Road 112.
Upon arrival, authorities learned that a westbound 2022 Honda motorcycle collided with the side of an eastbound Dodge.
According to the investigators, the 38-year-old man driving the 2017 Dodge on eastbound Avenue 328 stopped at Road 112.
The man failed to see the westbound motorcycle and continued to turn onto Road 112, directly into the path of the rider.
As a result, the motorcycle hit the right side of the Dodge and ejected the rider upon impact. First responders transported the motorcyclist to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have only identified the deceased rider as a 55-year-old man from Visalia. At this time, It remains unclear if the Dodge driver sustained any injuries.
Visalia Officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the fatal motorcycle crash.
