SUV Collision near Holcomb Village Left 16-Year-Old Boy Dead

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (August 3, 2023) – Sunday night, a teen was fatally injured in a skateboard accident in Warner Springs. 

The deadly incident happened around 8:05 p.m. along the southbound SR-79, north of Peralta Drive. 

According to the CHP, a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling south failed to avoid the skateboarder, resulting in a collision. 

Medical responders immediately transported the 16-year-old boy to Inland Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Meanwhile, the 74-year-old Mitsubishi driver and their 70-year-old female passenger remained at the scene.

Currently, the authorities have not disclosed the name of the deceased teenager to the public, pending notification from his next of kin. Police ruled out drugs and alcohol as a factor in the fatal Warner Springs skateboard accident.
