One Dead, One Hospitalized after High-Speed Accident on Broadway Avenue [Albuquerque, NM]
Single-Vehicle Collision near Hazeldine Avenue Killed One, Injured One Other
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 31, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a high-speed accident on Broadway Avenue claimed the life of one person.
On July 23rd, at around 3:00 a.m., police were in pursuit of a speeding vehicle that they expected to be involved in an earlier crime.
Investigation showed that vehicle lost control on the roadway and violently wrecked into a building.
Furthermore, the driver was pronounced dead upon arrival and the other passenger was quickly hospitalized for treatment of various injuries.
Consequently, authorities have not released any information about their identities or the previous events that lead up to the fatal collision.
A large portion of the surrounding area was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, police are launching an active investigation into the fatal crash.
