Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Atwater Jordan Road
MERCED, CA (July 28, 2023) – Thursday morning, one rider was killed in a motorcycle accident on Applegate Road.
Police responded to the scene around 8:00 a.m., near Atwater Jordan Road.
According to reports, the rider of a northbound motorcycle veered into oncoming lanes and crashed head-on with a Dodge pickup-truck.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained uninjured and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved.
