21-Year-Old Killed in Motorcycle Collision near Ivy Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 28, 2023) – On Tuesday afternoon, a hit-and-run crash claimed the life of motorcyclist Christian Dominguez.
The incident happened around 5:25 p.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway near Ivy Street.
According to reports, a driver of the 2010 Acura was driving recklessly and struck the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja, which threw the rider under a big rig that eventually ran over the motorist.
The impact of the crash caused fatal injuries to the rider, 21-year-old Christian Dominguez, of Riverside.
Meanwhile, the Acura driver did not stop and fled the scene, Police later found the car at State Street but it is unclear if the man they detained was the one driving at the time of the crash.
Police also did not release any information about the driver of the big rig.
Furthermore, the fatal crash blocked several lanes on the freeway for a few hours due to clearing operations.
At this time, authorities are currently conducting an active investigation into the crash and will release more updates as soon as they become available.
