Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50 Sent 1 Person to Hospital
PLACERVILLE, CA (July 27, 2023) – Tuesday evening, an unidentified person sustained injuries after a big rig collision on Highway 50.
The accident occurred at about 8:25 p.m., on July 25th, on eastbound Highway 50 near Spring Street.
As per CHP, a big rig and two other vehicles were involved in the crash that happened under unknown circumstances.
Responding medics discovered one person suffered minor injuries from the collision and rushed them to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Authorities currently withheld the name and condition of the victim, pending notification of kin.
Furthermore, the collision on Highway 50 resulted in the closure of multiple lanes for several hours and has since reopened around 11:30 p.m.
At this time, an active investigation is underway and Placerville police will release additional information once available.
