Man Fatally Struck in Rear-End Collision on Las Palmas Avenue [Stanislaus County, CA]
60-Year-Old Male Driver Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident near Sycamore Avenue
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (July 26, 2023) – Tuesday night, one man was fatally struck in a rear-end collision on Las Palmas Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 6:00 p.m., just east of Sycamore Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a westbound Toyota pickup-truck stopped suddenly for reasons unknown. As a result, the female driver of a Toyota Camry traveling behind him was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the truck.
Upon impact, the Toyota pickup-truck was pushed off the road and spun out before striking a tree on the driver’s side. Medics arrived and pronounced the 60-year-old male driver, from Patterson dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the female driver of the sedan remained uninjured.
Following preliminary duties, police said drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the incident. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal rear-end collision on Las Palmas Avenue.
