Motorcycle Accident near Schaad Road Left One Dead, At Least 5 Others Injured

VISALIA, CA (July 24, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a two-vehicle collision on Highway 20 left one rider dead, 5 others injured.

The fatal collision happened in the area of Highway 20 and Schaad Road. According to the CHP, a motorcycle traveling westbound collided with an on-coming van head-on. 

Consequently, the impact of the crash sent the motorcyclist to the roadway, where they sustained fatal injuries. Responding emergency personnel pronounced the rider dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, paramedics transported at least 5 people from the van to various hospitals for further treatment. At this time, the identities of all parties involved have not been released.  

Additionally, authorities will release additional information as it becomes available to the public.

Tulare County Officials continue to investigate the Highway 201 motorcycle crash.
