24-Year-Old Rider Killed in Motorcycle Accident near Schaad Road

WILLIAMS, CA (July 24, 2023) – Late Thursday afternoon, a man was killed and five others were hurt in a motorcycle crash on Highway 20.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m., near Schaad Road. Dispatchers responded to the scene after receiving multiple calls in the area.

Per reports, the driver of a Honda van was heading east on the highway and veered into the westbound lanes in attempt to pass another vehicle. There, the Honda struck an oncoming 2012 BMW motorcycle head-on.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 24-year-old male rider, from Seattle Washington dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took five others to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Crews later described the injured victims as a 54-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman, a 14-year-old boy, a 4-year-old girl and a 75-year-old woman.
