46-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Collision near Mile Marker 427

CLARKSTON, WA (July 20, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a motorcycle collision on US 12 claimed the life of Jeremiah Hessling.

Around 11:54 p.m., police responded to the scene near mile marker 427 on US 12, after receiving multiple calls of an accident in the area.

Investigators say Hessling attempted to split traffic when he collided with a Toyota, driven by Jamie Lockie.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 46-year-old Hessling, dead at the scene. Officers did not mention if he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash or not.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that was hit remained uninjured. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
