Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Hit-and-Run near Louisiana Left One Person Dead
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 14, 2023) – Late Tuesday night, a pedestrian died following a hit-and-run collision near Interstate 40.
On July 11th, at around 11:00 p.m., police responded to the area where a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle.
Investigation showed that the pedestrian crossed Louisiana against a red light when they were struck by the vehicle traveling south on Louisiana through the intersection at Constitution.
Furthermore, the pedestrian was struck and left with serious injuries while the driver continued to drive southbound.
Consequently, the paramedics transported the pedestrian to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries and died.
At this time, there was no available information about the suspect and the vehicle. It was unknown if speed played a role.
Also, the identity of the pedestrian was not yet released and an active investigation is still active.
