Multi-Car Collision near Jamacha Road Resulted in One Death

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 12, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a three-vehicle crash on Cuyamaca College Drive left one dead and four others hospitalized. 

The incident happened on July 7th, around 4:35 p.m., near the intersection of Cuyamaca College Drive West and Jamacha Road.  

Footage from the incident revealed that a black Honda Civic sped through a red light at the intersection. As a result, the Honda collided with a black Nissan that was attempting to make a left turn into a shopping center.

The impact of the first collision caused the Nissan to spin out of control and rear-end a white Tesla. 

Responding emergency personnel declared the rear passenger of the Nissan dead at the scene. Additionally, the driver suffered unspecified injuries, while the front passenger was hospitalized for serious injuries. 

Reports also stated that the Honda Civic driver sustained serious injuries, while the Tesla driver received minor injuries.
