Pedestrian Dies in Traffic Accident on State Route 371
ANZA, CA (July 12, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, police responded to a fatal pedestrian vs. vehicle accident on State Route 371.
It occurred at about 2:35 p.m., June 15th, involving a pedestrian and a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
According to the authorities, the Ford struck the victim at the junction of the two-lane corridor of the Hwy.
Furthermore, the deputies arrived at the scene just before 3:00 p.m. and pronounced the man dead.
At this time, the identity of the victim was not yet released, pending next of kin.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver did not obtain any injuries and he remained at the scene to be questioned.
Consequently, no arrests or citations have been made. The deputies partially blocked lanes on SR-371 by 5:00 p.m.
No other information was added by the investigators and the crash is still under active investigation.
