Officer Hospitalized after Stolen-Car Collision near Fresno Street

FRESNO, CA (July 11, 2023) – Monday night, one officer sustained injuries in a DUI accident on McKinley Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., near Fresno Street on June 5th.

Per reports, a police officer was assisting in a chase when the suspect rear-ended the patrol vehicle. Upon impact, the patrol vehicle spun out in the intersection before eventually striking a pole.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the officer to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the suspect remained uninjured and was determined to be under the influence. However, he was not arrested. At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
