Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Broadway Road

TEMPE, AZ (July 11, 2023) – Late Friday night, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 10.

Authorities responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the highway near Broadway Road on June 16th.

Per reports, a man was attempting to change his tire on the left side of the road blocking the HOV lane. There, the driver of a passing vehicle struck the man.

Upon impact, the male pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

Meanwhile, the female driver of the vehicle and her child occupant remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Emergency crews blocked off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate 10.
