Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck on Alum Rock Avenue
SAN JOSE, CA (July 11, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Capitol Avenue.
Around 5:50 a.m. on June 20th, police responded to the intersection of Alum Rock and Capitol Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a male pedestrian and immediately fled the scene without contacting authorities.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
Following preliminary duties, there was traffic on the southbound lanes of Capitol Avenue near Florence Avenue.
At this time, the suspect is still at large. Anyone with further information about the fatal pedestrian crash on Capitol Avenue is encouraged to contact local officers as soon as possible.
