66-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision near West Olive Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (July 11, 2023) – Thursday night, Christopher Allan was placed under arrest and a man was killed in a hit-and-run on 45th Avenue.

The deadly incident happened at around 9:30 p.m., June 29th, near 45th and West Olive Avenues.

According to the authorities, 54-year-old Christopher Allan struck a dark object that exploded with debris.

Furthermore, witnesses followed Allan and they took down his plate number. He got out of his Chevy near 51st Avenue and Olive Avenue then took off.

Consequently, Allan parked near 59th Avenue and Maryland Avenue where police later located him and he was taken into custody.

Upon reviewing video footage, Allan struck a 66-year-old pedestrian and left the scene.

In addition, the police detained him and they found cocaine in his pocket. He was taken to Glendale Police Main Station.

Meanwhile, Allan denied any knowledge of why he is being detained. He was charged with hit-and-run causing death, possession of a narcotic drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At this time, the identity of the victim was not yet released and further investigation is still ongoing.
