Woman Pronounced Dead Following Auto-Pedestrian Crash near Gentry Way
RENO, NV (July 11, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a pedestrian accident on Kietzke Lane claimed the life of Araksya Kopylenko.
The incident happened on June 21st, at around 4:37 p.m. near Gentry Way.
According to the NSP, the pedestrian was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck her.
First responders performed life-saving attempts but pronounced the female pedestrian dead from her injuries.
Police later identified the victim, who they believed to be a homeless woman as 41-year-old woman Araksya Kopylenko.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Authorities have no further details at this time. Once available, more information will be released to the public.
