65-Year-Old Man Critically Injured after Pickup Truck Accident on Chula Vista Bus Bench

CHULA VISTA, CA (July 6, 2023) – Friday night, a pedestrian crash on E Street sends an elderly man to hospital with serious injuries. 

Officers responded to the incident around 9:00 p.m. at the 300 block of E Street. Upon arrival, authorities learned that a large pickup truck crashed into a bus bench where a man was seating. 

Eventually, medical responders arrived and performed life-saving measures on the man before transporting him to a local hospital. 

Meanwhile, the pickup truck occupants remained at the scene and spoke with the investigators. The Chula Vista Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. 

At this time, the 65-year-old man remained hospitalized in critical condition.
