Pedestrian Crash on Barstow Avenue Leaves Man Killed
CLOVIS, CA (July 6, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, a pedestrian crash on Clovis Avenue near Barstow Avenue left a man dead.
The incident happened on July 2nd, at around 9:00 p.m. on Clovis Avenue near Barstow Avenue.
According to reports, the 62-year-old man was walking towards Clovis Avenue after leaving a neighboring store with another person.
The man wandered onto the road, and the fire truck driver was unable to stop in time, striking the man and causing life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash shortly after.
However, officials at the hospital pronounced the woman dead, due to the extent of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the fire truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
At this time, authorities suspected the driver of DUI but have not released further information.
An active investigation of the pedestrian crash on Clovis Avenue is still underway. Once
