Big-Rig Accident Near Edwards Air Force Base Left One Fatality
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 5, 2023) – Friday evening, a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 58 involving a semi-truck left one person dead.
The deadly collision occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. along westbound Highway 58 near North Edwards.
Based on the CHP report, a big rig truck crashed into six vehicles on the highway, just east of California City Boulevard.
Additionally, images from the scene showed an Amazon delivery truck and the tractor-trailer hauling vegetables involved in the wreck.
The first responders declared one person dead at the scene. However, their identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
It was unclear how many other parties sustained injuries from the incident. Those with additional information about the Highway 58 multi-vehicle crash are asked to contact Bakersfield Officials as soon as possible.
