Two-Vehicle Collision Near South Curry Street Kills 62-Year-Old Tehachapi Man
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 3, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a car versus semi-truck collision on Highline Road fatally injured Robert Duane Owen.
The fatal incident occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highline Road and South Curry Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan driver crashed head-on with a semi-trailer truck for unknown reasons.
Responding emergency personnel declared the sedan driver dead at the scene. It was unclear if the truck driver sustained injuries.
Later, the Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victim as 62-year-old Robert Duane Owen of Tehachapi.
