Man Struck and Killed by Driver at 43rd Avenue and Clarendon

PHOENIX, AZ (June 30, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, one man died following a deadly pedestrian crash on 43rd Avenue and Clarendon.

It happened just before 1:00 a.m., June 27th, involving a pedestrian and a vehicle near Indian School Road.

Investigation showed that the man attempted to cross 43rd Avenue midblock when he was struck by the vehicle headed south.

Furthermore, paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the road with serious injuries.

Unfortunately, due to the extent of his injuries, the man did not survive and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the female driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Also, 43rd Avenue was blocked in all directions for further investigation. It has reopened since.

At this time, impairment was listed out as a factor and the identity of the deceased was not yet released.
