Three-Truck Crash near Avenue L Claims the Life of One Man
LANCASTER, CA (June 29, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, James Hickman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on 20th Street West.
The accident occurred around 9 p.m., at the intersection of Avenue L at 20th Street West.
According to reporters, a Ram pickup collided with the back of a Subaru Forester SUV, subsequently pushing it into a Chevrolet Silverado.
Sgt. Michael Politano of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station confirmed these details.
Sadly, the Subaru, with Hickman as a passenger, was crushed between the two trucks, resulting in his death.
The woman who was driving the Subaru sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The occupants of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.
The Ram driver was taken into custody on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the collision to contact the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station traffic investigators at 661-948-8466.
