23-Year-Old Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Hellebore Street

MENIFEE, CA (June 27, 2023) – Thursday evening, Mason Young was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on Whitewood Road.

Police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m., near Hellebore Street on May 18th.

Per reports, the 17-year-old female driver of a sedan struck a motorcyclist as they attempted to turn left onto northbound Whitewood Road. The southbound rider then failed to avoid the sedan and struck the side of the vehicle.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 23-year-old Young dead at the scene.

At this time, failure to yield right-of-way is the main factor of the collision. Impairment and speed were ruled out.
