Vehicle Crash near McDowell Road Left Rider Dead

PHOENIX, AZ (June 26, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a motorcyclist died following a crash near 81st Avenue, police said.

The incident happened on June 16th just before 4:00 p.m., officers were called to a crash involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle.

Upon arrival, the officers found the motorcyclist on the highway with serious injuries.

Furthermore, the rider was transported to the hospital where moments later, he passed away. His identity was not yet released by the authorities.

Meanwhile, the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and he cooperated with the officials.

Consequently, the factors that caused the collision was not yet determined by the investigators.

Also, McDowell Road was blocked in all lanes from 83rd Avenue to 79th Avenue, it has reopened since.

No additional information was added by the authorities and an active investigation is still ongoing.
