Fatal High-Speed Car Accident near Glenarm Street

PASADENA, CA (June 23, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, one victim was killed and multiple were injured in a pursuit collision on 110 Freeway.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers noticed a northbound vehicle with no lights on veering in and out of their lane. Police then attempted to pull over the driver when the pursuit began.

The suspect driver then crashed into two other vehicles stopped at a red light, at a high rate of speed on Glenarm Street.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the suspect driver who was not wearing a seat belt, dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported four occupants from the two other vehicles to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor to major injuries. 

Following preliminary duties, officers say alcohol played a role. However, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
